After complaints over not making a Super Bowl prediction, I felt it was time to let all my fans know my choice. The vaunted Bears' defense or the electric Colts' offense? What an epic matchup between arguably the best quarterback and linebacker to set foot on the field this century. For years, after every playoff loss Manning endured to the Patriots, I said that Peyton Manning would never win a championship for 2 reasons: 1) no defense in Indy, and 2) Manning is not clutch. I stick to my word folks, becasue defense wins championships, and the Bears defense will rise to the occasion. I expect Manning to come out firing and I don't doubt that he is on target all game long. The key will be the Bear's ability to keep Manning out of the end zone. He will get his completions but the Bears' will prevent the big play. Look for the Bears' D to tighten up in the red zone and make the short field tough for Manning to work with. The Bears' speedy linebackers will prevent the quick slant inside to Harrison and Wayne, leaving Manning to throw to the outside. The best team the Bear's played all year was New England in week 12. Although they lost 17-13, they kept the NE running game in check (91 yards total) and picked Brady twice. If not for a shit game by Grossman, the Bears would have won. I fully expect Grossman to be on his game. This is the Super Bowl, not week 12. The gun slinger from Florida has one of the most powerful arms in football, and when he is on, he is tough to stop. The Colts' defense gave up 20 and 34 points in two games to the Patriots this year. I compare these teams based on their play against NE because they are arguably the next best team after Indy and Chicago.
21-20 Chicago

I agree. Manning threw three picks that were dropped against Baltimore. He's not clutch, and won't be so lucky against the Bears. I don't anticipate much scoring, but it should be a close, defensive battle. I'm taking the Bears, 20-13.
i still own the castle
